It was a troubled night, but do not worry — no one was giving birth to children here. What was being born, in that moment, were only ideas, and I hoped they would turn out brilliant.

The number seven kept coming back to my mind like a mantra, and then I began to think:

1. seven kings of Rome, 2. seven brides for seven brothers, 3. seven hills of Rome, 4. seven tumors I had survived, 5. seven kilos in seven days, 6. seven bricks to build a temple, 7. seven posts to close a hundred.

Before writing the text, let me give the reader just one fact about these stories to come: everyone else thought to leave a technical, editorial, literary judgment — but I simply wrote what I think, without conditions.
