Why Live?

When they asked me what life was, I said clearly — from my point of view — that it could be described as a genuine algorithm. Inside it, two extremes: birth and death.

Many smiled. Almost mocking me, as if the answer were obvious. But man seeks complication by nature. Only through complication does he realize the importance of things. Like the many books Amazon sells — ordered from computers to write them, because authors like me refused.

But none of that can appear real, can be true, inside the eyes of so many people who consistently manifest both the need and the necessity to keep going forward — instead of remaining trapped inside a barbed wire fence with no control, victims only of their own mind.

Then the exercise becomes simpler. When they say: tell me where you are going and I will tell you who you are. Or: tell me who you walk with and I will tell you who you are. Or: whoever walks with the lame will sooner or later begin to limp.

The solution remains the same. In everyone’s pocket. Stay alone with your own decisions — remembering that no one loves us more than we love ourselves.
