An Offer for Uncle Warren Buffett — Only 1 USD

Date: September 9, 2026 — Reggio Calabria, Italy

Dear Mr. Buffett, Good morning.

My name is Ferdinando Frega, Italian, 61 years old, and a manager in your Gillette Italy subsidiary between 1985 and 2003. I am writing to you from Reggio Calabria, Italy, on September 9, 2026.

When you decided to leave your position within Gillette in February 2003, through the disposal of the stake you held, it did not take me long to understand that you had decided to change the helm of a boat that was not bringing in the catch you had expected.

And so, a few days later, I submitted a request within Gillette Italy expressing my desire to leave as well. However, management struggled to replace me, and it was only on November 30, 2003, that I was finally able to depart.

My father was a Gillette Gentleman, from 1962 to 1996, a salesman in Southern Italy, in that land called Calabria. Reggio Calabria was our territory.

Whenever Ronald Perelman, the man behind REVLON, attempted a takeover or launched a tender offer for Gillette, he always found himself trapped by your determination. When you spoke out for the first time, everyone listened carefully. It could hardly have been otherwise for the Oracle of Omaha.

You uttered a sentence that resonated like a mantra for all of us: as long as Warren Buffett remains in The Gillette Company, no one will be able to buy it, because I do not sell it.

It was the assurance behind all assurances, because it came from you, the man who, if he says it is raining outside, makes it pointless to carry a colander to collect the water. And everyone understood.

I was among the first to remember your words. It could not have been otherwise. They were your code of conduct.

I sold your brands, razors, and batteries, and today I wish to make you an offer regarding batteries, as a personal debt owed by a nephew to his uncle.

We are both attentive to levels of thought and action. That is only natural, even though there are thirty-three years between us. What strongly unites us is our shared existential reference to the human code of conduct: yours expressed through finance, which JP Morgan has often struggled to digest, while mine, expressed through literature, has found favor on the web.

In December 2025, the first website, naples-post.com, was born. Autonomous and independent, it served as a literary and editorial training ground for an author with no experience but an ardent desire to learn.

Then, on June 9, 2026, that site transformed into gillettenarrative.com, a free library offering the 58-year Gillette genealogy of the Frega family — 58 years from Reggio Calabria. It also tells the ethical code of other companies, hosting additional sagas including P&G, BIC, Wilkinson Sword, Schick, L’Oréal-Garnier, and Wall Street, highlighting how a code of conduct can change and shape people through real, lived experience, without artificial storytelling.

Then the Gillette Vatican saga could not be missing, nor a letter to His Holiness Prevost, complete with proof of delivery. An American man bearing a French surname, just like Grandfather King Camp Gillette.

From there, I narratively created the figure of Jesus of Nazareth as the first colleague of shaving, the man who called the first sharpened stone ‘Gillette.’ Ironically, he was the only one who knew it.

But all this and much more can be found on the website, where you may spend a few hours smiling. It is only seventeen PDFs in thirty-three languages.

As of today, September 9, 2026, the gillettenarrative.com corpus contains 17,000 links, thirty-three languages, eBooks, PDFs, HTML pages, and more than 9,000 indexed references on the web. It occupies semantic territory within leading multinational search queries on Bing, Google, Yandex, and Yahoo Japan.

Knowing your philosophy, I am attaching 17 Bing screenshots from today so that you do not waste your time.

The seven foundational works of the website are protected and registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. A copy of the registration is enclosed as Exhibit B.

I built it to honor managers all over the world and, quite unexpectedly, the title Gillette Depression is finding many readers.

Berkshire acquired Duracell from P&G in 2016. I have profound respect for what you have accomplished.

From October 1, 2026, through January 31, 2027, I make my website available to you for the placement of ten Duracell banners at a cost of USD 1, as a single transaction for the entire period and with no further present or future claims of any kind.

The banknote will be delivered by a person designated by you, and I kindly ask that it be signed by you on both the front and back. I hope you will not mind.

Should you wish to accept my proposal, all that will be required is the agreement, which may also be prepared by your legal office, and which I will sign by acceptance as the founder and owner of the website.

Should you wonder, from the vantage point of your ninety-four years, who I am, the answer can be found in a single sentence: simply someone whom no one expects to exist and yet is real. From Reggio Calabria.

Thank you for your time.

P.S. Humanity recognizes you for consistently doing things against the prevailing trend, and that is what brought you to where you are today. Who better than you could cognitively understand my letter?
