NO FIXED ADDRESS

There is a moment when geography stops being a map and becomes an experience. For me it happened slowly — there was no epic phone call, simply a door that opened, and behind it was the world. When you leave the place where you grew up, the first thing you lose is the illusion that your way of living is the natural way of living. Then you discover other normalities, other rhythms, all with the same dignity as yours.

Every country seemed to tell a different version of the same human story. The languages changed, the faces changed, but the questions remained identical: how do you build a family, how do you protect what you love. Many think traveling means moving. It is not true. Traveling means changing perspective.

When you live abroad long enough, the word ‘home’ changes meaning. It no longer coincides with an address or a city. It becomes what you manage to carry with you — the principles, the memories, the people you love. I learned that human beings resemble much more what they fear than what they possess, and it is in those shared fragilities that the most authentic connections are born.

In the end, the greatest change had not been moving from one nation to another. It had been moving from a narrow vision to a wider one. The world had changed address. And the new address was me.
